Finished the foam build of my Athena bow from Empires&Puzzles! ???? Super happy how it looks and bends when pulled. The rigid PVC pipe base can withstand quite some force, but I still pre-curved it to reduce tension to a minimum. Probably wouldn't pass weapons check at a con but I'm not planning on bringing it anyway. ???? Next up: priming and painting!

Disclaimer: I used here rigid PVC which comes without the toxic plasticizer. It can be heat shaped at temperatures at 120 °C to 150 °C without releasing any toxic fumes. If you want to try this yourself and are not sure about your material, please do your research and wear proper PPE. There are plenty YouTube tutorials for PVC bows btw. ????
